How to secure a click wheel on iPod

Post by JapanJon » May 16th, 2014, 1:58 am

Have an older iPod (4G, color)and even older click wheel. The click wheel, used, works perfectly. However, the sticky "glue" or whatever it is has gone dry. Cannot secure it to the "frame" of the iPod.

Obviously, I cannot put real glue on the click wheel to secure it. Also would rather not purchase an entire new click wheel since the older one works perfectly. Wondering what can be used to secure the wheel to the frame. Thinking double sided tape? Or is there some type of glue which is not very strong and can be easily removed? Other suggestions?
