iPod Mini Flash Memory

Post by ipodhelp_bellevue » March 22nd, 2007, 11:46 pm

Seeing as how the hard drive is a Microdrive, which can be replaced by a CompactFlash flash memory card, I was wondering why you don't stock compatible CompactFlash cards. You could easily find the cards, you only need ones that are compatible with the PC Card ATA standard. These cards use less power since there is no motor (so it could improve battery life) & the lack of moving parts would help the iPod have a longer life span.

Not a bad idea, find one brand and stick with it. Right now it is a crap shoot, I tried three different cards until I found one that worked. I am now getting 20hr battery life!
