Ipod Game Controller

First, hello IpodMods Community!

Second, I first saw this mod on hack a day, and followed it to acidmods: it is an NES controller connected to the ipod in order to play idoom. After the how-to was released, I was disapointed that it invovles opening up the ipod, and sodering wires to it... You can see it here: http://www.acidmods.com/forum/index.php?topic=854.0
What I would like to see is an 30 pin ipod connecter used to connect a modified NES controller to the ipod, (and in this case) make it compatible with newer ipod models. What do you think, and how could this be done?

its possible .

but is there idoom on the newer ipod videos?

if you do use the 30-pin dock connector

then you'll need to re-route soem of the other pins to be grounded and it would prabaly ruin the use of other things for the ipod

like video or audio out via the dock

but its possible

i think i figured out how he did this and it seems rather simple mind u that i have not really made or tested this but maybe he just took a corded controler that hooked in the the connecter and move the buttons by soldering something together to move the buttons in the appropriate spot..... dunno

Why not make a connector that plugs in to the ipod and the controller. That way you don't have to ground out any pins.
