Unable to join the Network

Post by tmmatola » December 10th, 2010, 12:02 pm

Wi-Fi network. I have an iPod and it gives me an error message of "Unable to join Network". Wi-Fi Network is turned 'on'. The iPod see my wireless router (I see my router name in 'Chose a Nwtwork field'). But get the error message. Do I need to put data into the IP Address screen (subnet mask, DNS, etc...)?
Thanks for any assistance.

First thing to try would be a reset of the unit, next would be to restore the software to newest version via itunes. Other than that you may be looking at faulty motherboard in that unit. I would assume you are talking about an iPod touch and as far as the wireless circuitry is concerned it is all integrated into the motherboard.
