I've had my zune 30gb for a while. I have started to have a couple problems with it. The first is that when go to play a song the device will either freeze or play the song, then after about 30 seconds the sound will stop.
The second problems is that when ever I try to sync my zune I get error code c00d124d.
I have restarted the zune many times, I have even reset to factory settings. Nothing seems to work. I am not sure what I should do.

There is a good chance that the hard drive is damaged. There really isn't a test you could perform to know for sure. I just got the headphone jack repaired by rapid repair, is it worth it to get the hard drive fixed, or would I be better off getting a new mp3 player?
