which signals are in the connector at the bottom connector,

Post by pootna » November 16th, 2006, 3:17 am

Got a 5th gen ipod video.

bought a Belkin car dock (the one with cig. lighter)
modified the dock
- added headphone jack with fixed level output
- added DC jack
- removed the whole cig. jack, and stalk thing
- moved FM modulater and switcher inside the dock
- added swivel mount to dock

thing works well

audio is wired into aux input of headunit

I want to know how to sent a powerdown signal to ipod from dock. The dock gets power from the accessory line in vehicle.
Currently when I dock the Ipod, and accessory has 12V, the ipod powers up and plays music.
Now when I turn off the vehicle the acc(essory) will go to 0V, and would like the ipod to turn off automatically.

Thanks in advance

the ipod is powered by batterie you have to set it so that the

ipod turns its self off

i think its alredy like that so

just wait for it and it should turn off

the music has to be paused or just nothing playing at all
