Conversion of 40gb ipod to video?

I have a 40 GB ipod (I think it's a 4g), and I love it! But what I'm wondering is, could I love it more? ;) I am curious as to what it would take to convert it to a "video" ipod. I guess what I really need to know is, what parts would have to be changed, and whether the cost/ trouble is worth it.

Thank you for your time!

In order for you to have video capability with your iPod, you need the actual video iPod. You can't convert a 4G to a 5G video without replacing, well, every part. You would be better off selling the 4G and purchasing a 5th Gen. Hope the helps you with your quest!

Thanks

From more of a software standpoint you could just install linux on the ipod and have videos on it. I know someone who did it and it works really well. Its not really recommended if you haven't worked with these type of things before though.

Are you certain that they were able to display videos on a phot iPod, I have played with iPod linux in the past did not think it was possible for video display on a photo. Is the refresh rate fast enough to play a movie?
