This is an odd issue that we haven't had much experience with. Please feel free to send the iPhone is to be diagnosed. We offer free diagnostics here.

Re: WiFi Issue

The wifi function on the 3G phones is documented across the internet to have problems with connectivity. If you do a search, you can pretty easily find several forums addressing the problem. Unfortunately, there's not really a fix other than replacing the iPhone motherboard.

Re: How to change the 32768 songs limit on iPod Video anyone

What we suggest to customers is to break your music up into playlists of no more than 32768 songs. If you have 60000, just break them up into 30k and 30k. You won't be able to shuffle all 60k at any one time, but you'll be able to properly shuffle between 30k songs at a time within whichever playlis...

Re: Iphone 3g Camera/proximity connector problems

Unfortunately, there are no tips for transplanting that #3 connector on the mainboard, other than to bring the phone to someone with sophisticated soldering equipment and many years of experience. The legs of that connector are machine soldered, and the contacts are extremely small. If you do happen...

Re: Iphone 3g unresponsive

Unresponsive like the touch function doesn't work, or unresponsive like the display doesn't work? The touch is a function of the digitizer. The display is a function of the LCD. Also, I'm unable to help you with a stuck screw via a forum post.

Re: New digitizer hangs 3G on boot

821-0621-A is a 3G digitizer, and 821-0766-A is a 3GS digitizer. I'm not sure what 821-0602-02 is. We have seen some strange part numbers in the past on digitizers and LCDs, and the clips fit the 3G or 3GS, but they didn't function. Our best guess was that they were prototypes that never made it to ...

Re: iphone 3g white screen issues

My best guess is that from all the disassembly and reassembly, the LCD ribbon cable has been damaged internally. I see it all the time. You can only flex those cables back and forth so many times before the connections inside the ribbon start to fail.

Re: iPhone 3G versus 3GS battery compatibility

The batteries that we sell are not compatible with one another. But, we sell both a 3G and 3GS battery, so unless you want to be switching batteries back and forth between a 3G and 3GS phone, you would be all set with our 3GS battery.

Re: External Speaker

The white line on connector 3 should be about even with the top of the opening. That's the connector for the earpiece speaker and proximity sensor. Connector 4 (the dock assembly) being unplugged would cause you to have no sound. You would also not have home button functionality or microphone in tha...

Re: About removing cables 1,2, & 3 on correct order....

There is no specific order that those connectors need to be removed. Furthermore, even if the device is powered on, there will be no damage to the device by removing the connectors. I could only speculate that there is physical/mechanical damage to the phone beyond the obvious fact that the LCD and ...

Re: proximity sensor cable

There's really no way to repair that connector. The mainboard would need to be replaced. The camera module ribbon must have been damaged, too, because the proximity sensor connector doesn't affect it.

Re: Hardware Failure (white screen of death) iPhone 3G

If the screen is fading out to white, it's either damage to the mainboard or damage to the LCD itself. I have never seen the SIM card housing cause problems other than the phone not reading SIM cards.

Re: Compatibility Question (240GB Upgrade Kit)

It's fully compatible with the 60GB 5th generation and 80GB 5.5th generation iPod Video. If by DOA you mean nothing is displayed on the LCD when you plug it into power, then it's most likely not the battery at fault. If you plug it in and is says "Please wait" and shows a charging icon, but never bo...

I imagine the mainboard is corroded. More often than not, the mainboard is damaged beyond repair in cases of liquid damage on the iPhone 3G.

Re: 5th generation Nano won't play through stereo receiver

I can't imagine why they'd do it, but Apple may have changed around the audio out pins in the dock connector. That would make all existing stereo docks no longer functional. Apple did a similar thing before when they phased out Firewire charging through the dock port. Most standalone stereos with iP...

I assume you're talking about the iPhone or iPod Touch, in which case, those do have glass screens. It's really personal preference. You don't *need* any accessories. They are optional.

Re: Opened ipod touch to repair button now no wifi....

Even with that piece missing, the wifi should still be getting a signal. It might be slightly lower than usual, but it should still work. If you're getting no signal at all, or the WIFI option is completely greyed out in the settings, then there is likely damage to the mainboard.
