My iphone has a dent above the volume control buttons and cannot increase the volume. Can this back cover be replaced? The guy at the apple store said they would sellme a new phone for $199, but I could have an after market place put on a new back case. Any suggestions?

Do you guys actually keep a record of all the serial numbers that come to you?
