I got one of the very first iphones and have absolutely been soooo very pleased with it. Since apple iphone 4g was out I am considering upgrading, however, not with this mess that Apple produced! I was surprised they can be so stupid!
There are 2 phillips screws that need to be removed in this step (they are visible). Pop the dock module out and remove one last screw.
